- I've used both. From what I have read Symantec produces smaller, tighter
- code. It does seem to do that. But, I find Visual C++ 4.0 much easier to
- use. I think Symantec's environment and debugger are clumsy. Stepping
- through STL code and seeing data within container classes is easy in VC4,
- it's a hassle in SC7.2. I spend most of my time debugging and figuring
- why things work, the optimizations come later. In my opinion, VC4 is a
- superior environment making it more productive in day to day use.
